. i take it that u already install the latest bios as stated on the link u gave us (under software and driver download)
. next step i would update the cpu driver from AMD for ur cpu
. get the latest XP updates from m$
. i would also try to install the nvdia nForce chipset driver found under vista donwload of the link (most of the time it would work for xp as well)
. then go back into device manager and see what other "!" showing up

    cheers ...

You can find out the missing device drivers (actually the driver name) using www.pcidatabase.com. Open the properties window of a missing device driver, (yellow exclamation mark under device manager) then go to the details tab, and select Hardware Ids or Compatible Ids, you should then see an long string containing both vendor and device ids (among other things). Vendor id is given after &VEN_ and device id after &DEV_. Use those two numbers to find the driver name.

It will be easier to find the actual driver when you know the name.

Also see if you can find XP driver downloads for other HP notebooks (with a similar configuration : AMD X2 based notebooks with Go 6100) which came before yours. Most probably they are using same hardware/drivers for other components as well.

. download the softpaq as instructed
. expand it in a "software" directory

Do you know the audio device used in the laptop?? From what i can remember HP used to use Conexant audio/modem devices. Recently they started used Realteks. Since your configuration indicates the older series, try the Conexant audio drivers from here...

But before you install the audio drivers make sure you have the MS UAA audio drivers installed, otherwise the system wont recognise the HD audio devices and wont let you install the drivers...
