Hello guys, hope you can help me in this problem ASAP.

    Here's the situation:
I wanted to edit my windows xp start-up in our desktop and I searched online how to disable my documents window from always popping-out upon start-up. I followed this site: http://www.technize.com/2008/06/08/my-documents-folder-opens-at-windows-startup/ and now I can no longer proceed to starting up windows and on to the desktop mode. I am just stuck up in user-accounts. Whenever I click the user-account, it says "loading your personal settings and saving your settings and logging off". I think I made an error in editing our computer's registry. PLS HELP ME! I THINK I HAVE TO DO SOMETHING DURING BOOT-UP TO FIX THIS REGISTRY PROBLEM.

THANKS SO MUCH, IMMEDIATE HELP NEEDED PLS :'( my younger brother still needs to do his paper in our desktop pc.

    :'(

I also made some adjustments in msconfig... :'(

Did you make a backup of the registry before editing it?

What kind of adjustments in msconfig?

    I don't know if safe-mode would help.

I just uncheck some programmes not needed upon start-up. I think it's really in the edit registry that I really messed up. I didn't back-up the registry. How do I do that? What will i do now?

-When you say back-up, does that mean creating a system restore point? If that's a yes, I didn't. But I was able to save a list of all my most recent good registry settings upon getting it by using puppy linux. Now, how can I make use of that through boot-up and not start-up? Because apparently, I am just stuck in user-accounts and can no longer proceed to desktop since I carelessly manipulated some start-up registry settings...

    Please help me..pls :(

are you able, or not, to tell us EXACTLY what you did?

If you can get to 'services', just set EVERY service to auto-start.

But if you messed with the registry and do not know what you did or even why, then you are stuck.
