OK. This has been driving me crazy for months, and it has to be something I'm doing wrong. There has to be a way to pick and choose which photos to import off of a camera in Windows 7 like there is with XP. XP always brings up thumbnails and lets me choose. Windows 7 gives me no options other than tagging and location. What am I doing wrong?

    Thanks

    Well,

The first thing you are doing wrong is trying to make something much more complicated than it is.

I assume that you conect your camera to the PC; it shows up as a drive in Computer. Just go there and grab the photos you need and delete the ones you do not need.

There is no need to import anything - that is a habit from XP times where no one had card readers and stuff like that.

The only problem with doing it manually as you suggested is, the photos will not be tagged. Using the import wizard in XP renames the photos and put them in a folder of my choice. I'm sometimes dealling with 100's of photos, and it's so simple in XP. With Windows 7, unless I'm missing something, I have to import every single photo, then delete them off my HD.

Thanks for the link. I haven't had a chance to use this tool since I upgraded, and I didn't even know Win7 didn't come with it.
