    Is there anyway to install windows 7 over a partition that has Vista without it making a windows.old folder? or should i just install and delete that folder? the same thing i guess... i just dont want it to put old vista files all over my new win7 os. reply fast! im installing now.

    Format the Vista partition before installing. You can also delete it and let the installer create a new partition.

    Oh. Eh to lazy. I'm already at the screen for installing, I'll just delete the windows.old folder after i guess. it better just be that folder and no where else :mad:

    As long as you boot from the install disk you can choose 'Custom install' and then delete the partitions on hard drive
