Quick question - can the key from a retail version of Windows 10 Pro, like the one you see here, be used to do an in-place upgrade of Windows 10 Home? I'm pretty sure it can, but the information is a bit vague.

Yeah, it takes it as if it were an upgrade card. Sometimes if the hardware already has a "Home" key embedded in the BIOS tables from the OEM, you pretty much have to install Pro that way.

@Phoenix, all true. I install Pro, myself, out of the gate, using either volume license media or customized Pro installation media. What I said was true in context for normal users with default installation media, like @saturnotaku appears to have. For people capable of customizing an ISO, I assumed you knew I wasn't talking to j00.
