    ive got a 512 mb ram wid a 128mb intel media accelerator. If i increase my virtual memory will my computer be able to run aero? also if i upgrade only my ram will it work?

    It doesn't work on intel GMA 900 with 128MB shared and 2GB ram. Unfortunately.

    But it is ok anyway.

    Aero requires a DirectX9 hardware capable GPU. The GMA950 is alleged to be capable but the lesser Intel GPUs definitely aren't.

    Hitting virtual memory that hard will make Vista painfully slow, if it runs at all.

    You'll be stuck with the less interesting 32-bit version of Vista too.

    On your current hardware, I wouldn't bother.
