Is there a way to increase the horizontal indentation of folders in the left pane of Windows Explorer, in detail (tree) view, so it's easier to navigate up/down a bunch of open folders?

I'm trying to consolidate the data on a bunch of removeable devices, to one new HDD, and am frustrated with the tree looking almost vertical as opposed to obvious indent of folders in Explorer on my Windows XP laptop.

You can drag the vertical line that separates the two areas to give more space to the tree view, if that's what you mean; otherwise.. I'm lost.

No, I'm talking about the horizontal distance (i.e. number of pixels) subsequent sub-folders are located to the right of the folders in reference to the folders they are located in above. Does this make sense?

I'm guessing there must be a number (corresponding to pixel indentation or similar wording) in the registry to change but I can't seem to find it?

From what I understand, they indent themselves according to what folder they're opened from, and there isn't a way to change it because that's not how the folder tree view works..
