I just download the latest version of Windows Live Messenger 2009 Final. The alerts sounds are too low. I tried increasing my volume to max, still the sounds (volume) for nudges, contact comes online alert sound and etc. are too low... :(

That's odd, so they fixed this from 8.5? Because those are way too loud in 8.5, much louder than other software's sound. :D

while u signed into windows live messenger 2009 final, click on the volume icon in the tray, then click on mixer, u should be able to see windows live messenger volume settings, just slide the volume level up in the windows live messenger tab in mixer, now you can hear louder :)

also if u are chatting with someone, u will be able to set the volume level for individual contacts n their custom sounds. Everything will be available under mixer.

try out, it should work :) ;)
