    Hey ,

    I recently bought a HP Pavilion dv6930us Entertainment Notebook PC, which came with a pre-installed Windows Vista Home Premium.I tried to install Windows XP Pro using a bootable CD.But it is showing an error message that no hard drive installed! So what should i do to install Windows XP???

    go to bios options(tap F2 on startup i guess) and disable ACPI. i think it should work.

    Did you mean ACPI or ACHI?

    ACPI, aka Advanced Configuration and Power Interface, has been around for a while and should not pose any problems with XP.
