This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Install and Uninstall Drivers from Safe Mode Not Available?

    I tried to uninstall some drivers from Safe Mode in Windows 7 RC1 and it said the service to do this is not available from Safe Mode. Is this just something with RC1 or is this not an option with Win7? Usually I do driver uninstalls from Safe Mode to make sure no other process is using dll's or other files that it won't normally delete in regular Windows.

    edit: nevermind, I guess I have been using XP for too long. It's the same as Vista.
