I bought a laptop yesterday that came with Windows 7 pre-installed. It came with a lot of bloat ware and stuff and it doesn't run as fast as it should. Is there a way to backup the licensing and install a fresh copy of Windows 7? I remember you could do this with Vista but I wasn't sure if it was tested for 7 or not. Thanks!

    It is the same.
I saw in your sig CentOS 5.3 so I want to ask any difficulty getting it on a laptop? ACPI? Wireless?
I also know that CentOS uses old kernel so how is the wireless device support?

Haven't tested Cent OS Yet, but will soon. The laptop I just got was a Acer though, but I'll be doing that tonight (After Norton ghost makes a clone of my hdd).

Thanks for the response though, I'll be doing that tonight as well then :D

If you didn't get W7 DVD ,which is unlikely), you need to get this DVD somewhere, and install W7 again using your key.

I would like to do the same thing with my new HP....what is the cheapest route to get a dvd, I don't need the license, already have it (oem) with the computer.

    Next time do a search.
    Here you go
You have to modify the ei.cfg to get all editions.
This tool will enable the installation of all SKU after you got the iso out.
