    Hi,

I have ubuntu installed on my laptop and I'd like to install vista on it. When i start the installation of the vista it says that it can't be installed because the hard drive is not in NTFS file system.

How can I format the HDD to be in NTFS? Or what can I do?

    Thanks

You have to let Windows format the drive or partition first. Click Drive Options Advanced and then format. Be aware that this will wipe out Ubuntu. If you want to dual boot, look up a dual boot guide.

Windows is stupid that way....the only reason Windows doesn't read Ext files sytems out of the box is because MS thinks they have us by the If you want dual boot with Ubuntu, install (god I hate to say it) `vista` and then install ubuntu afterwards....it's smart that way :) Can't you get an XP or Win 7 copy? :)
