Hi guys. I don´t know if my question is stupid but a few days ago i bought a DELL Inpiron 1520 with windows vista home premium but some programs and games don´t run on it, just with XP. So, i need to know if i can install windows xp in the same laptop at the same time without format it (also considering that the laptop doesn´t have partition) and with double boot (for example when i shut on the laptop i could choose the os that i need at that moment and if then i need the other one i just have to restart). Thank you all![]()

I am pretty sure that you have to partition your HD.

How can i do that without format the HD?

You need to use a hard-drive managing software (I use Acronis Disk Director) and split your current partition. However, if you just want to run simple programs, install VMware, which will let you install XP as a VM
Install windows XP and windows vista in the same laptop?
