I installed a ultimate vista over a basic on my t61 and i am not seeing any other feature that basic already had, for an example if u put the pointer over the taskbar isn't there suppose to be a small window that pops up to give u a preview to what it looks like?? Am i suppose to turn all these feature manually??

Right click on the desktop and click personalize. Click Windows Color and Appearances. Then choose Windows Aero.
