However, when I go to microsoft and try to download windows 11, it says I'm running Windows 2003 Server?!?! What gives man? I got this copy of XP Pro from the software distribution at MIT. Any ideas on how to fix this?

hmmm that worked, installing it right now thanks for the download, however my concern is still that the microsoft dubbed my system as windows 2003 server. I checked on my machine and it is INDEED XP Pro 64 so why is it coming up at windows 2003 server on the microsoft webpage?

I just fear that this may cause problems later on.

Nothing to worry about, this is normal, because both XP x64 and Server 2003 x64 use identical kernels and codebase. For example, if you try to download Adobe Reader, their site will also detect your OS as Server 2003.

I guess that would explain why I had the issues with my video drivers. I'll look into that later though cause as of right now, I can't enable SLi. That's another thread though. Thanks for the info, it is much appreciated.

But you shouldn't have issue by using Server 2003 drivers though, because it's supposed to be the same. Maybe SLi isn't available for XP x64 / Server 2003?
