Hey guys.. It's been a while since i've been around. College is busy when you have 21.5 credits and work 10 hours a week. Anyway, I just picked up Office Home and Student 2007 yesterday and i had a question before I even started to install it. I have the beta for office. Should I uninstall that completely then install the retail version? Or install the new one then remove the beta? I need it to work, as I use it frequently, so I hoped to save some frustration sooner rather than later. Thanks guys!

Just install it should be fine. I updated from office 2003 to 2007 with no problems. Pop in the cd and see if it detects the old office beta you have. If it does not detect it uninstall the beta before installing.

well "it should be fine" are some famous last words... If something goes screwy with the new install, i would need the beta as a backup, but if having the beta is gonna screw up installing the new one, i need to know...

uninstall it. you can never be sure with betas being upgraded. you can't use the beta as a backup too. the new office will over write it.

I would definitely uninstall the beta version and then install there retail version. I don't want any of the old files left that will screw up the retail version.
