Ok, I have a Aspire 5612 I believe (no Orbicam). Came with Vista.
I finally got fed-up of it the other day, put XP onto the main hard drive, with a partition for Vista. I've installed all the drivers, but the wireless connection with Vista is really poor. It cuts out every 2 minutes or so. I've reinstalled the driver many times, got the updates, etc, but nothing is working.
Just so you know what I've done...
Installed Wireless Lan Driver 802bg Atheros XB63 Ver 5.3.0.35 - this came from the XP driver list
Installed Intel4965_v11.1.0.86 - that was from the Vista list.
Any idea on what the problem could be? It must be a Vista issue because the wireless is working fine on XP. Thanks in advance.

Jackane,
I would say this would be better suited in the Networking forum.
But, to better answer your question, let us know what adapter is actually installed in your laptop, what router you are using, and how you have both set up. Your Vista problems is probably related to your setup and not Vista.
