    Hey All,

I have a Fujitsu Siemens V2040. Recentlry my computer crashed and i needed to reinstall. I lost my recovery CD's and tried to install Windows XP SP2 from a normal CD.
The Program Told me that my computer is missing a hard drive. I downloaded an application accelerator software for the laptop or they also call it matrix driver software, pressed F6, selected the right driver for the SATA HDD. XP got happy and loaded the driver , and "BOOM", just before loading further it tells me it needs me to insert another STIFFY with the exact software driver I already loaded, namely APPLICATION ACCELERATOR DRIVER. I just dont know what to do . I cant go futher.
P.S The funny thing is that I have no problem installing WIN98 or ME on it.

    PLEASE HELP ME!!!!

First you will need an external floppy drive and a formatted disk.

Go to Fujitsu's website and download the drivers for SATA for your particular model. Either copy or run the executable files from Fujitsu to the disk.

Put the Windows CD in the disk and boot from the disk. When the disk starts you will see an option to press the "F6" key to install additional drivers. Once the disk finishes loading Windows will ask the location of the additional drivers. Point it to the external floppy drive and intall the appropriate drivers. Once Windows reboots and starts the installtion process be sure to leave the floopy connected because Windows will search for the drivers again.

    Hope this helps!

The Problem is that windows doesnt want to read from the floppy drive the second time. Windows doesnt want to reboot because before it even considers copying the windows installation files to the drive, it asks me for the floppy with drivers for the second time, and when I press ok, nothing happens. It keeps asking me for Application Accelerator Software, but doesnt want to read the floppy drive 2nd time round. I've looked for AAS on the intel website and on fujitsu website but it is too big for a floppy.

Then copy the AAS to a CD and insert that CD when prompted. Then re-insert the Windows disk and continue the installation.
