Sorry guys, if this has been asked before. Searched but couldn't find appropriate results. :D

    Here ya go..

This comes after partition troubles were FINALLY sorted out.

I've managed to create an extended partition(FAT32) for a XP installation.

After creating this partition all seemed simple. All I had to do was, Boot from XP CD and install on the drive meant for XP.

It was not to be.

Upon booting from XP CD, it shows an error prompt that there is a OS(VISTA) already in place and asks me to replace it.

There is no option to choose on which drive to install!!

I tried with WIN98SE CD as well - hoping I could install XP on 98 - but it shows the same.

    WTH!

    Any help?

You need to format the XP partition as NTFS, since XP is not FAT32 native.
