Hi everyone. I've got Toshiba A65 which has XP Home preinstalled. But I own Windows XP Professional (polish version) which I'd like to install on my system instead of XP Home. The installation process runs without problems. Windows doesn't however recognize some of the notebook specific hardware (Toshiba Logical Device) and I'm unable to run some Toshiba sotfware including Toshiba Power Saver, which I'm mostly interested in. Could anyone give me advice on how to install the system??
    Regards, mCIN

Well, you would need specific device drivers to run hardware that is specific to the notebook. If Toshiba did not include a CD with "System Device Drivers" then you'll have to go about obtaining them. You can either call Toshiba and ask if they have a CD with all the specific device drivers for this notebook or search their website. Either way, Toshiba will probably not be very supportive of you reinstalling an Operating System because that means they have to provide tech support for a non-standard laptop installation -- but you of course have the right to do with your laptop whatever you wish and they should still have to help you in my opinion!
