I have just re-installed windows 8.1 on my Clevo P151SM and installed all updated drivers but have a problem with the AirplanemodeHid driver. In device manager it comes up with unknown device and says drivers are not installed. I tried uninstalling the software via control panel but it seems broken. Now when I try to re-intall the driver it asks to remove the driver but fails. It wont let me install an older version either.
I then tried to delete anything related to the Insyde driver including using regedit but it still fails to either install or remove. So now I'm stuck as I can't force the driver to install over what is there or remove what isn't there. I have tried to update driver manually via device manager and browse to the driver inf but this causes a BSOD with error of PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA.
Does anyone know what I can do now to try to solve this problem ? thanks in advance

EDIT: I managed to get airplanemodehid to install by uninstalling all drivers, hotkey,BT,Wireless Intel Proset, then disabling WLAN in BIOS, then the driver would install. Airplane mode works using the Fn + F11 keys now. But I have an old problem of no network connections showing up despite all drivers of Intels Centrino N2230 seeming to be working. I had this problem before but can't remember how I solved it 8 months ago. TheProset taskbar icon is showing no adapter found. Re=installing drivers doesn't fix the problem either. This is a windows 8 - N2230 Proset software specific problem I think, damn, if only I was so old with a failing memory.

EDIT I uninstalled the N2230 driver in safemode and then installed just driver with no Proset software in safemode and it now seems to work. Took a while of trial and error but fingers crossed its OK now.

Thank you for posting the answers. Sounds like you had a lot of work getting that installed.
