I just sent in my hp dv6000 in order to have it fixed (had a problem with powering up) and I now have it back and when I power up a program called Intel Boot Agent GE v1.2.28 comes up and takes approximately a minute before it goes away and Windows starts. My question is, is this necessary to have and is there any way for my computer to boot the way it used to (which was a lot faster)?

Is your Hard Drive set as the primary boot device in the systems BIOS? If not that could be causing this problem.

Turn on the computer, then press ESC, it will list your systems boot order, you can chane it there, or there will be an option at the bottom to change it in the system's BIOS.

yeah... try hitting delete, or f2, or escape, or something, when you first power on the computer.
