So I've got all the latest drivers installed on my P650HP6 laptop. I'm even ahead on OBSIDIAN's reference for Intel Graphics Driver etc but then out of nowhere this showed up on Windows Update. Does anyone know what the hell this is? And it seems I have NO option to just refuse it, it's not installing automatically but I can't make it go away either... I have Device Installation Settings to NO (to not install icons, 3rd party drivers etc)

I'm also facing the same dilemma on the Eurocom Q6.
See this post on the forum.
My suspicion, based what I've observed on both AIDA64's identification on the chipset's south bridge (Intel's PCH audio controller,HDMI), and on Linux, where its' also read the same way via lspci | grep Audio), may indicate an entry point for an LSPCon converter.
Why it's exposed in the device chain yet no display lanes exist over USB type C on this SKU is what I can't explain. -

So, according to Microsoft's update catalog, it seems to be related to an Audio controller (perhaps the PCH Audio bit mentioned above).

In that post, I was asking for help regarding the missing display-port lanes on USB type C on the Q6, and this particular issue may be related to that.
