Is anyone else having this problem with the Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 4500mhd? This is the latest driver for Win7 RC 32bit that i have installed and with the old driver i got the message "Display driver stopped responding and has successfully recovered" and it flashed for 5 sec. its really holding me back from pre-order Win7.

You do know that Win7 isn't 'final' until October? Plenty of time for msft and the hardware people to get their driver acto together.

That being said, I'm running the G45 graphics in about 8 machines with Win7/b7231 without any kind of problem.

Actually, with the VERY latest Intel driver (8.15.10.1808 from Intel's site) I've seen one or two brief instances of onscreen graphics corruption in Firefox 3.5. Not a big enough deal to revert back yet.

I get that all the time too when I have the desktop composition enabled in Windows 7. I had to turn of the aero interface and desktop composition to fix it.

Other people are having the same problem too, it seems it's a problem if you have unmatched memory module sizes:

Yep, I've had issues with drivers myself. Which is why I just forced install vista drivers from my laptops manufacturer.

Why are you running the Vista driver?!? In any event, I too have some occasionally corruption issues running 8.15.10.1808 (via Windows 7/Windows Update), but nowhere near as bad as what you have. Evidently, Intel still has issues to fix, but it hasn’t been bad enough for me to even think about using Vista’s non-WDDM 1.1 drivers.

I had (have) the same issues. I have resorted to using my ATI card instead. Why? Because it was Either use the intel and have a long battery, or use the ATI and be able to use the computer. I chose option B.

folks, you need to upgrade all of your drivers in order

    chipset (.inf files mostly)
    ICH
    video
    audio
    networking
    misc components

If you don't get the chipset and ICH drivers in correctly, you'll never get the vid and aud drivers in correctly.

I had this issue too. Mine was caused by a) having hardware visualization enabled in the BIOS and b) having unmatched RAM sticks (one 1GB and one 2GB). The solution for me was to replace the 1GB RAM stick with a 2GB stick. I now don't have any corruption issues.

Hey thanks it worked. I had the virtualization on for the cpu but when I disabled it, it fixed the blur. thanks dude. I dont think you had to change the ram stuff.
