    Hi all,

I wasn't sure where to post it, but this seemed to be the most relevant area.

I have an i7-3740QM with HD 4000. I heard a few weeks ago there was a new driver update for HD 4000. But after downloading it, it says my specs are not compatible...

I also tried it now. Same thing is happening.

Is it really not compatible or is something going wrong?

Intel HD 4000 current drivers: 9.17.10.2849
Intel HD 4000 latest drivers: 15.31.17.64.3257

I got the same message on my notebook, i had to do an "have disk" download the zip display driver end extract it, install in device manger, or you could remove the current display driver, reboot and then install the new driver, make a retore point before you do anything.

Some notebook link the brightness control to an modded display driver, so if you loose brightness control after the update, you will have to put the original back on.

    John.

    thanks for the reply.

Well I installed windows 8.1 today, and checked on the intel website for updates and now it says I'm up to date. So...that's good. I guess? XD
