    I have a dv 6500 hp laptop and in the device manager I have a ? for the above.

    I have Vista installed and got a copy of windows 7 and am trying to fix this.

    I did some research on it and it is the intel r ich 8m sata ahci controller 2829 that is not installed.

    Why it did not pick it up when I installed windows 7 on another partition I do not no. I would like to no if there is a windows 7 driver for the sata controller.
