I installed the Intel chipset drivers, then I have the intel matrix storage driver, do I need that? what for? I never really used it
and its service is set to run automatically
-
It's the driver for the SATA controller. I'd recommend installing it.
-
ok, i'll leave it on, I wonder why does its service run though, it's just a driver, but the Intel Matrix Storage service is running automatically in the services manager :S
-
It depends if you have multiple drives or if your hardware and OS support it, and would like to enable AHCI features or high performance RAID on more than 1 hd.
-
its a laptop with 1 drive.......do i still need it?
