The driver supports AHCI and RAID. It is compatible with the PM55 chipset.
If you use it with AHCI an install via device manager is sufficient.

Are these for intel SSD's or something? Or is it for the controller?

I have an intel cpu and a seagate momentus XT. Should I be installing?

They are for AHCI or RAID connected SSDs, HDDs(included Momentus XT) and support only Intel chipsets(not all). They replace the Microsoft AHCI driver and should offer a better performance.

Decided to try it out and I got mixed results, slightly improved read speeds, my writes have gone down badly but my 4K QD read speed in particular have rocketed! Not sure how to make out of this...
