Yesterday I decided to overclock FSB on Gt780 through Intel XTU because I'm afraid to flash BIOS when another laptop bricked just out of different BOOT settings due to Windows 10.

So I installed v. 5.1.2 and was surprised to see no FSB slider at all. While I did see it on GE70 while it was greyed out. Then I decided to browse for older version and found... that there is NO OTHER XTU IN WHOLE INTERNET ASIDE FROM THE LATEST ONE! Which is now version 6!

Intel cleared whole internet from their XTU because they want us to buy newer laptops instead of overclocking older ones.

Please share your versions of XTU you still keep. Use some long-term cloud storage so these links wouldn't be dead soon. I share those versions I found for 60-70 minutes of searching. I DID found version 3 which works like a charm now.

No, I decided not to spend time on that because I tried version 4 and 5 altogether. So I am 98% sure that it will be no difference. And version 3 works like a charm now. If you really want I can try 6-th but have no faith.

Well IMO it can't get any worse. For me v4 worked best but since I don't use XTU anymore and just do overclocking through the BIOS, I didn't try v6

I suggest you give it the benefit of the doubt

While most everything is greyed out (or limited) to OC the adjustment sliders will allow me to declock in 6.0.2.2

5-th and 4-th versions didn't even show me the slider of Reference Clock. I just installed 6-th version and it works. But I believe that it is due to installation of 3.2.0.24. I guess it installed some drivers and files which were needed and were missing in next versions. I say so because for example driver version of Intel ME now is 10.0 instead of 7.0.

Anyway, I'd like to have multiple versions of same program if it may contain crucial differences.

Good to know! I actually had this exact one (found it right before I finally found v. 3) but thought that it is useless for sure so didn't post link :)
