    So... here's what happened.

I just bought a new notebook (Dell Inspiron 13R) with Windows 7 Home Premium x64.
I want to create a partition for my files to separate it from the OS.
So I read the The Ever-Growing Free Windows Software List, decided I'll use EASEUS Partition Manager 3.0 Home Edition as it supports Windows 7 x64.
I resize my OS partition from 460GB to 100GB, and put the rest 360GB as D (Data).
I apply, and EASEUS restarted my notebook. Its doing the partitioning... And when it finishes it shut down automatically.
When I start the computer again... Its showing the error Interactive logon process initialization has failed, and its only showing a mouse pointer with black background... until I finally force shutdown it.

I haven't installed anything in the new notebook, not even putting a data or do anything with it besides installing EASEUS to do the partitioning. When I install EASEUS, its my first time ever turning on the notebook, besides when checking it in the shop.

So... can anyone help me figure out what happened here? Is this caused by EASEUS failing to do its job? Or is it something else?

    Thank you in advance.

It looked like that EASEUS corrupted something during the partitioning. I recommend restoring the system back to original, then use Windows own Data Management to a)shrink the size of the OS partition and then b) create the Data partition from what it's left - this would ensure that everything is being moved and rearranged correctly.

    cheers ...

I've tried restarting several times and it came back to normal.
Just to be sure though, I've restored the system using the Recover to Factory Default option.
    Thanks qhn.

    Strange with the restarts

Now you can play with the built-in Windows Data (Disk) Management. Good luck KarenA.
