Hi, I believe some people here are using the ie9, like me. Today I encountered a problem after automated update the adobe flash player (10.1.102.64). I can't see most of the pictures on the youtube website and the "search options" is not responding any more. I try to reinstall the flash player but didn't help. I tried to install the latest beta version (10.2.161.22) of the flash player but the problem remains. Does anyone have the same problem? How to resolve it? Thanks in advance.

Wow? Anyone other have this issue?
I'm using IE9 Beta, the adobe update poped-up just few seconds ago but I did not update (planning tomorrow)...

    What's going on?

Yeah, I really have no clue. I even rest my ie9 beta but still. The previous flash player (10.1.85.3) works fine with the ie9 beta. Let me know if you got the same situation or any solution to get it over. Thanks.

OK. Found more problems. The friend list in the google chat window from the gmail interface can't show properly. The "Options" of the google chat is not responding either.

This should be a Gmail issue. I had seen this issue in all the browsers.

You mean after you update the adobe flash palyer (10.1.102.64) from (10.1.85.3)?

That I don't know. It works fine with the previous adobe flash palyer (10.1.85.3). The new update (10.1.102.64) works fine in Opera, but not ie9 beta, in my case.

Hey when you install the beta does it install 32 and 64 bit versions together automatically, or do you have to download and install them separately?

The 64 bit version of the adobe flash player can be found only in its beta version (10.2.161.23). And yes, 32 bit and 64 bit versions need to be downloaded and installed separately.

Sorry I should've clarified. I meant IE9 itself, not the flash plugin.

If you use 32 bit ie9, it will download/install the 32 bit flash player (10.1.102.64). If you use the 64 bit ie9, it won't download the flash player automatically since there is no 64 bit of the flash player. However you can download the 64 bit player (beta) from the adobe official website.

OK, quick updates. I download and installed the previous version (10.1.85.3) of the flash player, didn't work. I uninstalled the ie9 to go back to the ie8 with both the previous and the newer version of the flash players installed. guess what, NOT working!!! However if I uninstall the flash player, the pictures on the youtube are showing fine, just can't play the video clips. If I install the flash player back, the video clips play fine, however, the pictures and "search options" are not showing/responding. Is something wrong with my ie9 settings? I reset the ie9 to its default and clean the cache/cookie erverything, still no hopes...

    What I meant was downloading/installing IE9 itself.

Ops. If your OS is 64 bit, it will download and intall both 32and 64 bit ie9 at the same time.

OK. finally, resolved! I turned on the debugger of the ie9. It showed the errors of "http://s.ytimg.com/yt/jsbin/www-core-vflq_lt3A.js Line: 224". Google it. It's about the DOM storage (like a super cookie). That's why everything works fine on the youtube, except the codes that involve with javascript. So it is not the java flash player's problem. To fix it. Go to the ie9 internet options ->advanced -> security -> DOM storage -> uncheck (check is the default setting). You are done!
