    Hi folks,

This is terrible ... I was working late last night moving stuff on my laptop, which has Vista Home Prem., x64 on it and at the time of this accident I was using Internet Explorer 8 (IE8).

So, by accident my IE8 "Favorites" folder under my User name got dumped into the "Download" folder ... so, I in a hurry thought I moved it back to it's Original place and Deleted the one under "Download" folder ... well, I guess I Really Deleted it since the Dumb Microsoft asked me "the URL is too long" do you want to Rename or Delete ... opted for delete ... and I guess the folder got Deleted ... so, when I went to use my shortcuts in IE8 ... I noticed I have NO Favorites shortcut.

Now I have scoured the internet and nothing helps ... here are the things that I have tried and Nothing ...

    1) I tried importing my Favorites HTML from 2 months ago that I created ... via Import/Export route ... and Nothing.

    2) Somewhere someone suggested that Screwey Microsoft has Solved the darn problem with Favorites and Bookmarks in IE9 ... so I upgraded from IE8 to IE9 ... still No Luck.

    3) Someone said "Reset" my IE9 to it's Original Format ... but I will lose my one Toolbar [Video Downloader] ... I guess I can Add it later ... but I have NOT tried this ...I wanted to speak with you folks and see what you think ...

Option 4 ... that is why I am here ... most of the time you folks have a "Smart" way solving things ...

Q1: So, can anyone tell me how to Fix my Screw Up!?!?

Q2: Which Browser do you guys like? I think it is time to move away from IE.

I am using using FireFox also ... but the ONE thing I can NOT stand about FF is that it will NOT save a page as ".mht" always as ".html" ... that means I have 2 darn files for one page. I do like FF because I can use my Add-Ons with it.

    Thanks!

    G! :)

    Wow Kdawgca,

Yes YOU are the Awesome Man as your Avatar indicates ... I would have never found this little Gem that you shared with me. I must have sent several eMails to FF team ing about this and no Hint what-so-ever ... but I suppose they must get millions of them ... so.

    Thanks again Dude or Dudeth!

    G! :)
