Exactly what kind of internet security are we talking about here? Antivirus, firewall, suite?

Norton Internet security 2008 (with the expense of huge system resource utilization), AOL security suite (free), Windows Live One care, Norton 360, etc..

^ ew to all of those.

I personally run Avast + Spysweeper, but you can do AVG, Kaspersky, Spybot S&D, list goes on and on.

I prefer a combination of packages rather than a suite from a single source. I use NOD32 (paid for), Windows Firewall with Advanced Security (found in Administrative Tools) I will go back to Comodo Firewall (Free), I used to use it on XP, waiting for 64bit Vista compatible version. For the moment I'm using Spybot S&D (free) for antispyware.

I used to use Norton Internet Security (back in 2004) but it caused a crazy amount of slow down on my system and was very reluctant to uninstall too. I've heard it's improved a lot since but I'm in no way tempted to put it back on my PC.
