This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    for some reason my internet explorer keeps closing saying that windows needs to shut it down because it is not working properly. but it works randomly. any idea?

    I have the same problem on a desktop...the only way I could solve it was to install Firefox and use it instead.

    You might want to try uninstalling IE7 and then installing it again.

    i started using firefox too and dare i say ...I LOVE IT
    but uses a bit more resources that the IE7 but is way more easier to navigate and get thru and is clean too

    The problem with firefox in vista is that the default theme doesn't look so good, and finding a nice vista-looking theme wasn't easy (ok, it was). Though after finding my present theme I, once again, am using firefox.


    Edit: shouldn't this be in Windows OS and software?
