I've recently had a problem where if I have an app on my laptop that uses my Internet bandwidth heavily, no other programs can go online. If I am updating a game from Steam, it would use up most of my bandwidth (1 MB/s) and I can't even browse the Web as it does this. Chrome keeps saying Page Cannot Be Loaded. I have to pause updating before it works again. The same goes for when I am downloading torrents. I've never had this issue before, how can I fix it so I can have many programs using the Internet bandwidth at the same time?

So you want to somehow throttle your steam games so it doesn't hog your connection?

How 'big' of a connection are you paying for?

Yeah, can you post a speed test so we can get an idea of your download?

Basically I want all of my programs to be able to use the connection and not just 1 or 2 hog it. My downspeed is 988 KB/s and upspeed is 55 KB/s from speedtest

I'd recommend NetLimiter or NetBalancer, both allow you to throttle the apps you choose to a cap you define.
There may be other choices besides those 2 but those were all I remember off the top of my head.

Fred I have Verizon DSL 925/445 and do not notice the issue you report. The fact that it was OK to have simultaneous Internet apps running makes me question your upload speed,, 55 K seems way low, was it this low when everything worked ok?
It may be worth while to contact your ISP to verify you are getting full upload speed.
PS I am jealous of your new AW, Awesome Video review BTW!
