I have just installed Windows 7 and now I cannot find out where to disable the touch pad on my Dell. Any ideas?

control panel> hardware and sound and underneath devices and printers click 'mouse' then go to hardware tab on the far right and disable one, with my laptop it dosnt say which one so just try one and if its not it enable it and then disable the other...

also with my laptop if i press Fn and F7(with a little picture of a square and a hand/pointer) that enables/disabled my touchpad...

    good luck

I have tried that, the option to disable the items listed is disabled for all three of them, grayed out.

The standard touchpad drivers do not have this feature you'll need the software/drivers from the OEM.
