Is it possible to set this up with yahoo mail and hotmail?

It seems gmail is the only one offering always SSL encrypted email service? yahoo and hotmail drop the encrypted connection after authentication. Is there a way to change this for those services or are they just sadly behind the times.

This is actually sad, but true, only Gmail offers secure encryption at all times while using their e-mail service.

There is no SSL system set up at Hotmail and Yahoo besides on the authentication process, so there is nothing that you can do on your end to make use of it on their services.

Your best bet would be setting up protection locally, including a good firewall and maintaining your computer free of malware, as usually, it is not because of the lack of SSL that sensitive data filters.

Yeah, I would also just forward your mail if you're that worried about security.
