friends, when you buy notebook (ibm, dell, etc.), usually the spec mentions the operating system such as Win XP Home or Win XP Pro but doesn't say anything at all about MS Office. Is it usually included in the package? or we have to buy it in addition to the OS?

thanks in advance for the enlightment. [ :)]

    rgds,

MS Office is not included in almost all cases, it is very expensive and if it were included the bundling of Office is raising the cost of the notebook by a couple of hundred bucks at least. Some notebooks do come with MS works a much watered down version of Office with just the very basics.

Look for Student and Teacher edition of office for only $150. Comes with word, excel, powerpoint, and outlook.
