I'm looking for an external USB port that I can add to my Windows 95 laptop. The ones I've seen specify Win 98 or higher. Is USB incompatible with Win 95 software? If not, will the Win 98 specified products work with Win 95?

Generally Windows 95 does not support USB. There was a later version that came out with USB support.
I was robbed by a sweet little old lady on a motorized cart and I didn't even see it coming.

I have a Windows 95 desktop that has 2 USB ports, I have yet to try them out though because I was just given the comp yesterday, so I don't know if they actually work, but they are there.

95 can support usb, you just need the "newer" version of 95 that says usb support. I have a 95 disc that says usb support.
Is USB compatible with Windows 95?
