People, it's a free market community.

You don't like Vista, you don't use Vista.

    Simple.

Maybe too simple for some who need to b*tch and complain just to hear their own voice. And I think you know if you fit in this catagory. ;)

You called me out, not the other way around. And market share has a lot to do with it, because uhm, the majority of people reading these posts are on Windows computers. That makes it 110% relevant. Now if we were having this argument on a Mac forum, it wouldn't be neither here nor there.

So saying you can't run an OS and game is more relevant than my saying available memory in use is a good thing, um ok, you're really making sense now. I don't need to prove the point that memory in use is better than memory that is idle, i assumed everyone knew that, i sir stand corrected, but hopefully you learned something today

Well now we're talking. lets define "average user" shall we. My definition would be a person who checks ebay, checks hotmail, books plane tickets, banks online, writes a word document, manages their finances, things of this nature. So i would tend to disagree with your assessment in that regard, Vista can handle all those tasks even with a GB. Add the tasks Vista performs in the background, the search features, the prefetch of their commonly used programs, and probably at the end of the day it's going to run smoother than any other OS. Add to that it's more secure for the "dumb" people out there, and this OS looks even more attractive.

Again what is the point you're trying to prove? I think it's been lost in all the nonsense you spew, at least it has been on me.

Well that would be the ideal for more advanced PC users, I look forward to that in a SP for Vista. However, SuperFetch as is it right now is very well implemented, it tracks your program usage routines and loads them into memory so that when you start them up there is no wait time due to HDD access. Obviously this works better with more memory, and I don't know how much of a hit in load times you take by evicting an unused program that was Superfetched and loading in a new one. But I believe it is a good memory management feature...at least one in the right direction.

I don't understand all the haters about Vista. All people said is there is so many security loops and your going to get hacked etc. etc.

Well nothing has happened yet. What's up with that?
