Hi guys, I downloaded a software( its name is [REMOVED BY MOD]. This software can turn my laptop to a virtual wifi hotspot. It runs great. All my portable device , such as iphone, ipad, can connect to the internet built by this software.

I want to learn: is it safe to use this software to create a wifi hotspot? Should I need to buy a router?

    Thank you in advance!

Going the router route is a far better value for your network should the computer running the wifi hotspot fails all other connecting to the internet will fail to connnect. With the router you have more control and options to use and it is far better manager of the internet switches then your computer will be as that will tax your system resources to do that.
