I have Quicktime Alternative installed on Vista, however when I click on an HD trailer link, Firefox opens a new tab and streams the trailer. However, in the past on XP, whenever I clicked on a link, the mov download tool opens and I'm able to save the trailer on my computer. Does anyone know what I can do to fix this problem? Thanks.

Firefox is probably setup for that file extension to open. You can have it prompt you to download or open.

I switched the settings in firefox to try to download, however, the file that it downloads is less than a megabyte large...so its not the hd movie. Quicktime alternative usually comes with a tool that allows you to download these movies but for some reason it is not working for me.

Download the greasemonkey addon: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/748
Then download the Apple Trailer script: http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/2484
And BOOM there you go apple HD Trailers download are one click away. You'll just have to right click on the resolution you want in the little widget thing in the corner of the screen and save as...Attached Files:

Excellent little script, thanks a lot. I was going to suggest trying something like "KMP", but this is even better.

With this script, I don't even have to download quicktime alternative.
Is anyone able to download Apple HD trailers?
