This may be a stupid question but is buying Windows 7 OS from Xoticpc same thing as buying it from the other places? I'm asking this because I was planning to purchase a Sager NP9170 without a OS so I can install a SSD more easily. But that is only if pre-installazation is mandatory. So if I pay $80 for the OS, will they send me a installation disk so I can install it myself after installing my SSD? I've always bought pre-built computers and I'm finally trying do myself a favor and learn a few things

Yes according to their site they will provide you with a DVD so you can install the OS yourself. I am sure if you want it shipped without any OS installed they would do that.

one thing to consider is that the xotic OS is likely an OEM OS, meaning that you might be limited to using it on that specific notebook.
