Hi.
I nearly had to re-format.
I went from 2GB to 4GB, and got a BSOD after a couple of boots, I had to use Vista repair to boot into Vista as it would lockup.
It turned out a Nvidia file was causing the BSOD.
Regards

You don`t need to format.
You need to make a disk with Memtest86+ and check that RAM for a night or so and you`re good to go. -
NO is our answer.
enjoy your performance BoosT. -

If you have lots of free time, then you can do one.

Like if you are unemployed or your girl friend left you
Is it necessary to reformat after adding more RAM?
