I just realized that I have a extra copy of Windows 7 ultimate new which I got from my student account. I paid like 30% of the retail price. The key is still unused and I have a reinstall dvd. So, I was wondering if its ok to sell this or not?

Unless you are an authorized msft reseller, probably not.

its not MSDN.
You remember, Microsoft gaveaway discounts for the students with .edu account when Win 7 released. -

Technically I do not think you can sell it, however it would be possible to do so if you choose to do it.
-
Technically, the End User License Agreement, EULA that you press accept to before installing means you agree that only you will use it, and not sell it to any other entity yada yada yada.

I don't think you can sell the license, but you can always sell a different product and include the license as a gift. HINT! HINT! WINK! WINK!
Gifting the license is not against the agreement. Also, if it is a student license, it may be tied to your student email address. As such, you could then not sell it or give it away since it is forever tied to you. -

Thank you for your gift of $$_____, for your generosity would you like me to gift you back this copy of Windows 7?
