This applies to all recent versions of Windows.

When the timeout for the screen saver/lock is reached, the screen goes black and after that you've about 2 seconds of delay if you want to cancel the lock by touching any input device. After this 2 second window the screen is locked, and to unlock it you'll need to type a password or use a finger scanner. If I'm not paying close attention to the computer but want it to stay unlocked temporally, this gets quite annoying.

Is there any way to delay this lock so after the screen goes black, I can have, say, 30 seconds before the screen lock is engaged? Alternatively, can I have a highly visible warning effect triggered a certain time before the lock?

Is there any software that can detect a full screen window (such as a video player) in focus and disable the screen locker?
