First, You need a punk, colorimeter or spectrophotometer, most if not all profile softwar can make maps.
Not sure bow anand or notebookcheck make theirs( i think they used mat lab with results from their test, but it was a really old read). If you ask them, they will happily tell you about it.

I want to generate my laptop's color profile. After I got my laptop's color profile, then I want to compare it with sRGB or AdobeRGB color profile so I can find out how good is my laptop's LCD color space.

The weird thing is I don't see any color profile associated with my current windows XP.
From Control Panel -> Display -> Settings -> Advanced -> Color Management:

The reason I'm looking for a software to generate color gamut graph because last year I bought lenovo Z480 and I'm very disappointed that the display color is washed out. I compared it with my 4 years old lenovo G450 which has much better color display. I like do some photo editing that's why the color gamut is very important. I had sold the Z480 and I'm preparing to buy new laptop again. I want to make sure that I don't make same mistake again. Hopefully I can find the software that I can put on a usb pendrive so I can check the new laptop at the store.

hmm...alright, I just sent email to them.

If you want a nice screen with a wide gamut and good viewing angles, find a notebook that has an IPS screen.

Your gonna need a colorimeter (like spyder) if you want to see your screens gamut compared to a color profile. Most monitors these days exceed the narrow sRGB gamut and even reach into parts of the AdobeRGB spectrum.

Without a calibrated color profile, your monitor will just render colors as it sees fit which causes color shifts and oversaturation.
