As the title says, I'm looking for a free driver updater for Vista 64.
I want to be able to see at a glance, the possible driver updates that are available.
I don't like the built in method that is in the MS OS.
Thanks.

If you don't like Windows Update for drivers, then I would personally just download and apply the latest drivers every few months for the critical components: video, sound, network, and perhaps chipset. That's just four driver packages right there - hardly anything worth scrounging around for free and potentially shady software to do the job for you.

Why even update the drivers, though? Is something not working? I'd highly recommend only regularly updating the video drivers. Let Windows Update handle everything else. Updating drivers is a great way to hose a system and force a reinstall.

Yes, windows updates handles all my updates. I don't like updating too often as sometimes the newer drivers are not that stable.

The only driver I EVER update is the video driver. Graphics drivers are by far the most fickle of all the subsystems and thus they are most open for improvements. Next would be the audio subsystem, but that is a distant second.
Is there a "free" driver updater for Vista 64bit?
