This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     hmmm, i thought word already shows u how many words u crrently have in ur document (at the bottom of the word screen) [tools -> word count]

    "To access the word-count feature in WordPerfect 11 or 12, click File, Properties. When the Properties dialog box displays, click the Information tab. Alternatively, if you've installed WordPerfect Office 11 Service Pack 1 (or if you're using WordPerfect 12), you can access the word-count feature directly by clicking Tools, Word Count/Info."

    yeah, I know... I wasn't being clear... :eek:

    I need the character count... not the word count. I knowhow to get the word count.

    Word's built "word count" includes character count (both with spaces and without spaces), paragraph count, and line count. Also has an option to include footnotes and endnotes if you want 'em.
