I work with several applications at once but sometimes I move back and forth from one app to the next one. Is there a program that can create global macros in Vista.

For instance, if I'm working with Pagemaker, is there a way I can select a text and paste it into Word or Notepad without leaving the Pagemaker window; or a way to activate or interact with my time-tracker software (or any other software) from any application I'm using, just by pressing the shortcut of the macros?

Try autohotkey. Ive created alot of customised keyboard macros which is very handy

Make sure you read the How-To guide. It might take time to create the special macro that you need
